Japanese Tea Room

How can the essence and subtleties of the Japanese tea room be reinterpreted through abstracted form? This study model attempts to answer that question through a continuous, spiral-like gesture that integrates the nijiriguchi, tokonoma, and tatami floor and culminating in the ro or hearth.
